but do you really honestly thing border guards are going to conduct the rumored “iPod searches” as stated over a year ago in news articles? of goddamned course not. is all your content going to be deemed illegal? let’s say you don’t have your laptop and just your iPod…

Yeah, there was similar fearmongering in Australia when someone discovered that a law allowed customs officers to search your electronic devices for “Refused Classification” content (Like porn, video games which are banned, and other things the government thinks are too radical for the general populous to deal with).

I don’t think anyone’s had their laptop taken out and searched because like this, it’s completely infeasible. It already takes too damn long to clear customs as it is, if everyone with a laptop had to submit to an electronic strip-search, it’d be ridiculous.
